As the title have it, on our 2nd last day, we went back to several spots to pig out on some of the food stuff that we've missed out during our visit few days back. This time, we headed first to Haeundae Beach area because how can I miss out on gukbap which is super famous in Busan?
So off we went in search of that popular Traditional Haeundae Granny Gukbap alley. There are actually 2 main stores side by side selling the same thing. We chose the red one which has photos of loads of actors and actresses and their signatures on the wall. I guess this is it! The place is actually fairly touristy. They have limited selection and everything has been translated to English for the ease of tourists to choose from. The panchan of various pickles and kimchi are on each table so just pick out the amount the you like. One thing that took me by surprise (thought I've read about it) is that the noodles are served with Yakult. What a combination! In any case, I find the soup really flavourful. I had the rice version and it was equally yummy.
After a sumptuous brunch, off we go to Centum City, the largest mall in Busan! Boy, is this place posh. All the brands in there are designer labels and even the food area in the basement and tis food street is so posh looking.
Would you just look at this nice food area. Even those fruit jellies are too pretty to be consumed! Makes me feel like I'm in Japan for a moment.
They even have quite a nice kid zone at the roof where you could see the view and there is a play area for daddies minding the little ones while the mummies spend money. I think this will be very much appreciated in Singapore, sheltered play area with sofas around. No need to spend money to chill.
And lastly, we went back to the university area again just to see if we could pick up some bargains. Seriously, this is the place to buy stuff if you really want it in an affordable range and it generally fits the age range. We also try the very different fried chicken which we think is the most unique thus far. It has friend rice cake and fries that come with the chicken. Quite a popular spot among the university goers for sure. If you're in the vicinity, give it a try :) It's called Outdark Chicken!
